Recordable teddy bear step by step instructions
Ensure you have all the required parts to make a recordable teddy bear, including the bear skin, stuffing, pre-recorded voice box, and any other personal items you wish to include.
Locate the inner bag, note some have a zip and others have a cable tie. For a zipper, the easiest way to open it is to use a safety pin or paper clip.
Put half the stuffing inside the inner bag ensuring it is pushed to all the outer extremities.
Now add your pre-recorded voice box. Ideally place it in one of the paws or the tummy, and ensure the play button is facing outwards. See these instructions on how to record your message before you insert the voice box.
Now fill the bear with the remaining stuffing. You don’t have to use all of the stuffing provided, you decide how soft you want your bear.
When you are happy with the look of your recordable teddy bear, close the zip and remove the safety pin or pull the cable tie tight, cutting off the excess plastic from the end of the cable tie once closed.
Finally, close the velcro ensuring that no fur is caught.
Tips
- Be sure to have all your parts on hand, and have your voice recording ready to go.
- The inner bag may have a zipper or cable tie depending on the bear. If it is a zipper simply insert an open safety pin or paper clip into the hole on the zip and it as the puller. Ensure the zip is fully open to insert the stuffing and voice recorder properly. If the bear has a cable tie, the inner bag will already be open. Cut off the excess cable tie once the bear is full.
- Be careful to not over stuff as this will put too much strain on the outer skin. Your bear is supplied with sufficient stuffing, but you may not need it all depending on other items/ contents you may choose to add.
- You might find it easier to use a “chopstick” to help push the stuffing into all the outer extremities of your recordable teddy bear.
- There is a protective strip on one side of the velcro to ensure the fur does not get caught whilst stuffing the bear, this needs to be removed to enable the velcro to stick.
